I’m finding that the <br > tags are disappearing altogether from the template output. Not sure why.

HTML formatting is set to “Allow ALL HTML” and this is the code which is created by the rich text editor.

The head of the document looks like this:<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8">
I am not getting any <br > tags in the outputted template code. It works fine when I configure it to use WYGWAM.I’ve just examined the database and discovered there are no <br > tags in the saved entry, but when I edit it, the <br > tags are back! I see what is happening now. Newline characters are being converted into <br > tags. Is this how it is supposed to work?

Yes, that is the intended behavior. Newlines are < br >.
