Is it possible to turn gzip off for one page? If not, is there an extension which allows me to do this? I have an automated task that writes out an xml file which runs overnight, it isnt working because there is no view template (from what i read anyway) when gzip is on. So for one template i have to turn gzip off.

I really dont want to rewrite all the code to work using views, any ideas?

You can create variable in file include that in place of config gzip option. now create a session or flashdata set it as per your requirement .

not easy to implement but u don’t have to write a lots of code wink
