What are the important things or skills i need to know to be a better WEB DEVELOPER?

I know only basic HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP.

How do i make my website very secure from any hacking activities? like

  Network Eavesdropping
  Cross Site Scripting
  Brute Force Attacks

what are some good practice to be a web developer?
What are the common codes used in making website?

I’d say, every knowledge that you read yourself into is nothing compared to knowledge that you gain through experience. Thus you need to work hard and long times to become a better web developer.

And, you should always be open-minded to other development methods and not just stick with “one pair of shoes” to walk with. Sometimes you need sandals, sometimes trekking shoes, and sometimes sneakers. Get the metaphor?
