I use a 3rd party UI for my website http://www.shiftins.com and want to know if the forum plug in you provide is compatible. The interface allows me to edit html on individual pages and upload images; however, I am not sure if I can install anything. Please advise.

I’m confused.

You want to use EE, or only the Forum Module?

What’s a “3rd party UI”?

Hi shiftins,

The Forum Module is only compatible on sites running ExpressionEngine. It is not a standalone forum solution.

Is the site you’re referencing running ExpressionEngine?

Thanks!

Hi shiftins,

thanks for the response I wanted to add a forum to my current website but I’m using a 3rd party that hosts and codes the site.

I don’t think our Forum software is what you are looking for. It requires ExpressionEngine to run. Now, if you want to purchase ExpressionEngine and Forum to move your site into? We would love to have you!

It sounds as though another forum solution is what you are after. Perhaps phpBB or vBuletin would be a better fit?

Is there anything else I can assist you with?
