I’ve been using it for a little while now, I’m enjoying it. It’ll definitely lower the barrier to entry for others to use Git. Rarely it’ll do something stupid, so I have to open powershell, but for the most part I really like it.

I actually use it with Bitbucket repositories as well… used this guide: http://haacked.com/archive/2012/05/30/using-github-for-windows-with-non-github-repositories.aspx

I’ve been using TortoiseHg with Bitbucket. Super easy to use. I’ve tried git via GitHub a couple times, but it’s not as easy as TortoiseHg / Bitbucket. My needs are basic, so I’m not sure I’d need anything else, but would love to hear why git / github is a better choice.

I’ve actually used and been happy with TortoiseGit.  It works just like TortoiseSVN and TortoiseHg, and over the years I have had clients where I have had to use them all.  Best to keep things familiar for me, as they all have the same interface.
