Hi
I would like to know if there’s a way to see the themes and plugins available before purchasing. I want to know how much I can do in here on my own without having to hiring someone.

Get the missing EE2 owner’s manual - a complete guide to building an EE2 site.  It’s available in PDF or print.

Hi annasus,

Thank you for your interest in ExpressionEngine and welcome to the Forums!

As Mike points out in the linked thread, ExpressionEngine doesn’t “theme” in the same sense that WordPress or Joomala have themes.

For the most part, ExpressionEngine is a blank slate after initial installation.

For a list of add-ons available, look over on Devot:ee. There are many ways that ExpressionEngine can be extended for your site’s needs.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Cheers,

How may I help you?
