Hi!

I’m building my first website in Expression Engine and I’m almost finished. There is only one question left.
I made a new member group and authorized users from that group to edit and update all pages/channels.

After editing a page and hit the save button the page is saved but the user receives the error page with the alert ‘expression engine you are not authorized to access this page’. I could not find my answer at google or twitter.

I’m using v2.5.2 - Build Date: 20120606

Thanks in advance!

Hey We/Provide,

It sounds like permissions may be off for this group somewhere.

Do you get this same error as a Super Admin? If not, then you may want to go over the perms for that group again.

Please check that out and if you need some more help, just let me know and we can do some troubleshooting.

Cheers,

When I’m logged in as Super Admin everything seems okay but when I login as another customer I receive the errormessage. Strange because the setting channel assignment -> can post and edit entries in: * is all set true.

Can access the control panel? is set to yes
Can access CONTENT section is set to yes
Can access CONTENT: Publish is set to yes
Can access CONTENT: Edit is set to yes
Can access CONTENT: File Manager is set to yes
Can access DESIGN section is set to no
Can access ADD-ONS section is set to yes
Can access ADD-ONS: Modules is set to yes

Can delete their own channel entries is set to yes
Can edit entries authored by others is set to yes
Can delete channel entries authored by others is set to yes

Your help is really appreciated!

Hey We/Provide,

Another way to go at this is to start with the Super Admin group and duplicate it. Then remove the perms you do not want. That helps to make sure you are not missing some small checkbox somewhere.

Does that make sense?

Cheers,
