I might be missing it, but where can I find documentation on setting up templates to allow members to send private messages to one another and receive email notifications of the new messages?

No, I’m talking about just EE. I’ve never had to use them either, but I always see Private Message options in the Member Group configuration so it must be somewhere or they wouldn’t have permissions for it, no?

So if you do have members enabled you can use PM.

There is no easy way to customize that, this is where Zoo Visitor rocks the house.
