Hello - I just did a new install n EE 2.4 and I am able to get some things done. I set up a couple of templates and some channel entries but now when I go to Content/ Edit - I get this error:

A Database Error Occurred
Error Number
1146

Table
'redpathcg3.exp_comments' doesn't exist

SELECT `entry_id`, COUNT(*) as count FROM (`exp_comments`) WHERE `entry_id` IN ('
2', '1') GROUP BY `entry_id`

Filename: controllers/cp/content_edit.php

Line Number: 332

Although I am able to go to Content/Publish and get the correct screen but right now I can edit any entries.

Does anyone have any ideas? I did force the URL query strings.

Thank you!

Sounds like you’re missing a table. Perhaps try and go to Modules and Remove / Add back the Comment module.

Hi Heather,

Although you found a workaround, this is a known bug.

Sorry for the trouble!

Is there anything else I can assist you with?

Cheers,

Hi Dan, Thanks for message. There is actually something else funny going on. My control panel keeps loggin me out. When I first did the install my timeout time was set to 1 minute so I changed the to 60 but it keeps logging me out. About 1 out of every 2 times that I go to update an entry or template.

Do you have any thoughts on that? I read some other people had this problem but they were on an earlier version.

Thanks!
Heather

Hi Heather,

The session timeout issue was being tracked in a previous version. We thought we had it licked in 2.4, but it seems we are still working on this particular bug as well.

There is a bug report for it, but the fix will be to large to be outlined in a report and will require an update to ExpressionEngine. Can’t say when that will be though.

Is there anything else I can assist you with?
