Yeah I know done to death.  But .htaccess is not my strong point.  It is working, just not pointing to the right place.

My url is: http://webdev.babersinc.local/sandbox/playground/auth/login

but it’s redirectiong to http://webdev.babersinc.local

the directory structure is as such:
webdev (root)
-sandbox
—playground
—-index.php (ci)

I know that it has to do with the above structure just not sure how to modify my rule to make it work.

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>

RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase
/

#Checks to see if the user is attempting to access a valid file,
    #such as an image or css document, if this isn't true it sends the
    #request to index.php

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond
%{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule
^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>

<
IfModule !mod_rewrite.c>
