Hi RainerG

Welcome to EE and the forum!

Content > Edit will allow you to edit the Entries within the CMS.

Changing the menu bar will involve editing the templates. Templates are used to display Entries consistently. You will need to know HTML and CSS possibly depending on what you have in mind for the change.

Could you give us some more detail on how you plan to change the menu?

Matt

Hi Matt,

thanks for the reply

I would like to change the order and wording of menu entries. I had a quick look through the templates, but i can neither find them in *site nor includes. (I did search for the word eNewsletter, or would that be called from somewhere else?)

btw. the module structure is in use, but when I open it I can see the tree, but not move the entries. Rainer

OK, while I’ve never used structure on a project, from what I’ve read and understand today, you may have to edit the actual entries which appear in the menu and change their Structure settings within each.

I’m sure some more experienced folks will stop by and offer a known method, so maybe check out the Structure support site in the mean time: https://structure.tenderapp.com/

I also found their documentation which looks to be helpful: http://buildwithstructure.com/documentation
It seems that the navigation generates itself, which makes sense as it would minimize the work required to maintain it.

Let us know how you get on Rainer

Thank you again for your response and help Matt,

I posted this one in structure support…

When I go into: structure > pages I am unable to reorder any of the entries (or sub entries) The preceeding re-order option displays 3 short horizontal dashes rather than “up and down” arrows, preventing re-ordering.

EE Installed: 2.1.3 Build 20101220 (sys admin access)
Structure version: 3.0

Member group permissions: All ticked (incl reorder)
