What kind of feedback do you think you’ll get when you ask this in a CodeIgniter forum?

Just so you know this is being posted on every official forum for each framework also including general PHP forums so there isn’t bias to this approach.

It doesn’t show what the results of the poll are after voting. What a waste of time!

I use two PHP frameworks and only one choice is available, maybe have checkboxes instead of radio buttons.

Maybe take the time to edit your post and make the URL a link.

Sorry I wasted 5 seconds of your time. I realise some of you arent happy about not seeing the results after you submit. I’m not firmiliar with survey monkey so I’m trying to find out whether if this is possible. If there isnt a way I will post the results some other way.

The question says if you are using multiple frameworks which one you are most satisfied with. If I gave people the option to check everything then some people will do that. Some are just swearing in the other please specify box so I think its good I keep it like this and try to post the results later.

I have updated the url so its a link now.

I plan to build a web application but I have to research the possible options available to me to help develop it and make justifications as to why I went that route. There are so many frameworks out there so I thought it would be useful to see what currently stands out above the rest. So far the results are surprising Kohana has the most by far with 52 votes in comparison to Zend with 9 and Yii with 9 which I thought would be the top rankers.

Anyone know why kohana seems to be a lot more popular above the rest? So far 156 people have contributed.

Just so you guys know codeigniter has 13 votes.

I don’t think the poll shows true framework usage, or which is most popular, but simply a statistic of which framework users are willing to vote. That’s probably why you are getting unexpected results. Leave the poll up for a few years, and it may have some degree of accuracy, but you’ll never know.

Also, because the poll doesn’t require a login, and simply deleting your cookie allows you to vote multiple times, voting is not secure enough to allow any results to be considered accurate.

I agree with you, well its only been up for 12 hours. I’ll leave it up as long as I can and hopefully the results will work out.

Looks like codeigniter has a good foothold. Overnight the number of votes doubled and is now up to 1,040, on top of that there has been shifts in framework rankings.
