Status:
- I have been using MS Expression Web to develop a PHP/MySQL site.
- Now have CI setup on local XP Pro machine running on IIS 5.1 localhost
- I looked at Eclipse as a PHP IDE and also just downloaded Notepad++
- BUT neither one of those have the tools that Expression Web has
... Design View, Code View, Smart Editor, FTP tool, File Sync tool for local & server files, etc.

Questions:
1 - So are there any issues using Expression Web as your IDE with CI?
2 - Eclipse seems to be a hybrid IDE and Framework as it has usable code & code snippits with it as CI seems to have… is there not some redundancy here?

I’m bumping this topic in hopes that someone who has used CI with MS EW will see it.

Alternatively, it would seem to me that CI doesn’t really care what Editor or IDE you use… or there some issues that make it better to use CI with specefic Editors and/or IDE’s?

It works with CI, I use to use but changed because it was
very slow scrolling the page with a lot of code!
