Haven’t used it but am a little skeptical about its functionality.  Within the FAQs, they claim the product will break some of EE’s core functionality and that’s never a good thing.

Well, I was hoping that some of our users would stumble across this post, but in the interest of clarity I think I will chime-in.

eeSiteKit’s nested URI structure is not suited for use with EE’s Category Heading Tag, so we created a workaround for it.

Meet our Category Heading tag{embed:cat_name}

Our users haven’t found that to be much of a stumbling block.

The kit is used by developers from all over the word for all sorts of websites. You can see a few examples listed at our site.

We don’t keep tabs on the folks using the kit, and since one kit license can be used for as many sites as a person wants, we have no way of knowing how many websites are running on the kit, but from time-to-time we stumble across one, or get the permission of a developer to list their site and we add it to our list.

If you have questions about the kit, please feel free to email or PM me, thanks.

Thanks Kurt for the clarification.  Your product does look pretty cool.

I just came across this post more than a month late, and hope that I can be of help. I purchased eeSiteKit two years ago and used it with the last version of EE. If you’re looking for a way to get a site up and running without a deep dive into EE, this product is great. I can also say that the support and patience Kurt provides is outstanding.

I was a complete EE noob when I bought eeSiteKit—and I barely knew CSS. Now days, I deal with projects that require building from scratch. But for your average serious business or nonprofit site, you’ll have no regrets.
