Channel only used for relationships

I have a channel that I only plan to use in relationships to other channels. It will never have a template of it’s own. I’d like to make the Title and URL Title fields go away when people are publishing said content. Is that possible? Are there any other special things I should do in setting up a field like this?

Interesting question, I suppose this fields are required and you can’t do nothing.
There is one more problem—use utf sumbols in url title

Hi skgreene,

Welcome to the forums!

You do not have to do anything special with this channel to use it in the way you’ve described. Although you can’t directly remove the url_title field you can create another tab in the publish page and move it to that so that it’s not directly shown. Then save that layout for the appropriate member groups. You should really keep the title field in the main publish window because each entry will need a title.

Cheers

Greg

Thanks, I hadn’t thought about moving the fields to other tabs.
