For some reason the thumbnail previews are all messed up. Some display and some are missing. Not sure what’s going on but permissions on all the folders and subfolders for my upload directories are 777.

Hi RocketMedia,

Can you please clarify what you mean and perhaps provide a screenshot? Are you referring to EE 2 PB or EE1.x?

Cheers

Greg

I am currently using EE v2.0.2pb01 and am referring to the file upload manager as seen in the attached screenshot. The Main Upload directory seems to display thumnail preview just fine however, which is odd. I also noticed that every other time I choose a thumbnail, it enters the path like this:

{filedir_2}undefined

Hi RocketMedia,

Which build are you using? The latest is 20100430.

Cheers

Having a similar issue.  If I copy a new image to a folder that has images that do work, the new image will come up as undefined when selected.  I attached a screenshot.  In this folder I can select the pdf but not the png image file.  In fact, I can’t select this png image file from any folder.  As a test I uploaded the attached screen.gif file to another folder that contains images I can select, but it also comes up as undefined when selected.

It seems images that I’ve had there for a while work, while new images copied into these folders don’t.

Running v2.1.0 - Build: 20100712

Trapeze, was this a clean install or an upgrade? If an upgrade, make sure to delete your /themes/cp_themes folder and upload it freshly from the 2.1 package, then clear all browser caches before logging in again.

It was an upgrade.  I have again deleted the cp_themes folder and replaced as suggested, cleared browser caches, but the problem is still there.

I have attached another set of screenshots, top screeshot shows images that can be selected.  In the bottom screenshot I have uploaded a test jpg which isn’t previewed and comes up “undefined” when selected.

Trapeze,

Please ensure that the permissions on the directory from which you’re selecting these files is 777. I can reproduce what you said, but only when the folder was set to 755. At 777 the thumbnails display and insert correctly for me.
