Thanks for a very useful post Jelmer.

Just started my first big project in CI and this have saved me for many hours later on I’m sure. As I’m fairly new to working in this MVC framework I haven’t contributed anything to the forums myself, but I’m amazed about the quality of the user contributions here in general. Thumbs++

I found some very nice and useful tutorial for developing a good codeigniter project.

It is all video tutorial and will get sample code. I think everybody must watch it before making a project in codeigniter. It will of course help you.

class data extends CI_Model{

public function __call($name$arguments{
$this
->$name $arguments;
}

public function __get($name{
return $this->$name;
}

}

$this
->data->pisio =  "  isnt it ? ";

print_r($this->data->pisio);

I think that will be good idea in new version of CI.
It will be more fast and clean code with mysql(active records )  relation and view.
And I think :  Option to auto-load php interfaces will be   too good idea.

when will the new version come out?

CI’s active record isn’t an ORM. Setters and getters aren’t helpful in its case. (Also, __call() is meant for methods, not properties.)

There’s no set date for 3.0’s release.
